Nebius AI was established as an independent company following the strategic restructuring of Yandex, the Russian technology group. The international AI cloud business—including data centres in Finland and the Netherlands—was separated from Yandex's Russia-focused operations and reincorporated under Dutch law, with Nebius AI Studio listed on NASDAQ as an independent company. This corporate separation was designed to create a genuinely European-governed AI infrastructure provider, free from Russian jurisdiction and ownership. Nebius provides three core product lines for AI builders. The GPU Cloud service offers on-demand and reserved access to NVIDIA H100 and A100 GPU clusters for model training, fine-tuning, and large-scale inference workloads, with data centres in Helsinki (Finland) and Amsterdam (Netherlands). The Inference API provides managed inference endpoints for a range of open-source models including Llama 3, Mistral, Gemma, and others, accessed via an OpenAI-compatible API—allowing organisations to switch from OpenAI infrastructure to Nebius-hosted endpoints with minimal code changes.
